Fresh Off the Fire, Jamaican to the Bone
Whole fish scored and fried hard, jerk smoking on the drum out back, rice and peas simmered in coconut milk all afternoon — a Caribbean kitchen doing NW 79th Street proud since 2014.

From the Sea to the Fire
How it gets to your table.
The Fish Comes In Whole
No fillets sitting under plastic. Snapper comes in whole, gets scored by hand, and goes into the fryer the same day — skin on, bones in, the way it's supposed to be.
The Drum Goes On Friday
Out back, over pimento wood and charcoal, the jerk drum runs Friday through Sunday. No gas, no shortcuts — just smoke, time, and a marinade nobody's writing down.
Rice and Peas, All Afternoon
Coconut milk, kidney beans, thyme, and a whole scotch bonnet dropped in whole for heat without the burn. It simmers for hours — there's no fast version of this.
Ready When You Are
Counter service, a few picnic tables, and a takeout window that knows your order by the third visit. Fast doesn't mean rushed — everything's cooked to order.

What Our Customers Say
“The whole escovitch snapper is worth the drive alone. Crispy skin, real heat, and they don't skimp on the pickled veg on top. My family's Friday-night order for three years running.”
“Had them cater my mom's 60th — full drum setup in the backyard. Forty people, jerk chicken for everyone, and it was hot and ready exactly when they said it would be.”
“Brown stew fish tastes like my grandmother's. Only reason it's not five stars is the wait on Saturday nights — but that's because everyone else knows too.”
